568.0. "Bad Company" by ANT::SLABOUNTY (The word for today is legs ...) Wed Jun 21 1989 20:52

Another of my favorite 70's bands (the new stuff is OK,
but not quite as good), they've got their share of hits
    	which people seem to like.

    	Partial discography:

    	Rough Diamonds
    	Bad Co.
        Straight Shooter

    	and that's all I know!

BUT, I do know a few of the hits:

    	Movin' On Bad Company
    	Shooting Star Ready for Love
Rock Steady Good Lovin' Gone Bad

    	and others that escape me.

                                                       GTI

I would recomend 10 from 6 for a taste of what Bad Co. *used* to
be about. I really don't like their newer stuff!

Please don't subject the poor man to new "Bad Company". Notice the
quotes, please. I don't want him to think that that new stuff has even
the most remote connection to the good Bad Co.

No prob. However, the new Bad Co is bad, but just not bad like the old

568.18Anyone got the Track listing for 'Rough Diamonds'JANUS::BHARRISONCheap an' NastyWed Oct 03 1990 13:5912

I was given a home-taped compilation from a friend. There was one song on it by
a band called Rough Diamond. (I forget the name of the song at the moment).
I have been looking for this band for ages, but nothing.

Then I saw that Bad Company had an album called Rough Diamonds, and I wondered
if this was it. So does anyone hve the track listing for this album ??

Thanks in advance.

Brynn.

There was a band Rough Diamond in 1977 made by ex-Uriah Heep singer David Byron
together with other stars (Clem Clemson also from Humble Pie). This band has not
succeeded and disbanded after the first album. At the same time there was also
an unknown Rough Diamonds band who suited Rough Diamond for the name (but I
think without success). So this is what I know about Rough Diamond.

I've got the album Rough Diamond by Rough Diamond. If you haven't
heard it, it's a very good album. I'm really surprised they didn't
make it as a band. Their sound was alot more hard rock (a little
"rough" around the edges). I guess their music just didn't fit with
    the times.

Help me out here gang! What the new line-up for Bad Company?

They're coming to town in a few weeks and I'm going to check the
"new" Bad Co. out. I know Paul Rodgers is not with them anymore, but
what about the rest of the guys? or did a bunch of sessions guys take
    their name?

    Thanks!

Not sure - but the new album is GREAT ! "Holy Water" is the name of
it, I think. It's not very close to old Bad Company, but it's still
    worth checking out !

    Scary ...

Paul Rogers is not with them. (Brian Howe is the new singer.)

Mick Ralphs, the guitarist, played on the album but is not touring with them.

One of the other two original members (Simon Kirke?) is not touring with them.

Basically, out of the four original guys, there's only the bassist left, I
think (Boz Burrell?).

The new band is called "The Law" ... and the new release has something
to do with "The Law" in the title. Bad Company is definitely back,
    just under a different name.

He's in a band called THE LAW with Kenny Jones(Faces,Who).
They're playing a song called "Laying down the Law".
Don't seem like anything too special to me.
