1278.0. "4D40T and slow redrawn operations" by AUBER::TISSERAND (Jean-Marc Tisserand, French CSC, 858-6801) Tue Apr 22 1997 08:49

Hi,

A customer of mine is having problem when moving a window
on his screen. After a move, the window contents is redrawn slowly.
This slowness also appears on refresh operations.

If he runs dtpad for example, and hides the dtpad window with another
big window and then iconifies this big window, then dtpad gets an expose
event and the content of the dtpad window is redrawn very slowly.
The customer tells me that he sees the drawing of each line.

The configuration is a Alphastation 500 5/400 with a 4D40T board,
Unix v4.0a and open3d v4.2.

We set *freezeOnConfig to True but he does not help.
We used mwm and dtwm with the same result.

When running ico, there is no drawing problem inside the ico window
as long as you do not move it.

Where can the problem come from ?

Thanks in advance,
Jean-Marc
