Conference bgsdev::open3d

1274.0. "MENTAT-II(OpenGL) and Xervers crush." by TKOV51::ISHIBASHI_T () Thu Apr 10 1997 16:16

	I meet with the Open3D/PowerStome4D* trouble of
	Pre/Post FEM application( MENTAT-II ).

	MENTAT-II(mentatSOGL) can run correctly on the follwoing environment.

		AlphaStation500/333
			ZLXp-L2
			UNIX v4.0b
			Open3D v4.2 

	But, after I replace the ZLXp-L2 with PowerStome4D60T,
	as soon as I start to run MENTAT-II on the dxterm, 
	it happen core-dump and the Xserver go down( crush ) 
	and restart to show the login-windows. 

		AlphaStation500/333
			PowerStome4D60T
			UNIX v4.0b
			Open3D v4.2 
	
	I meet the same crush when I use the Open3D v4.2 & 4D50T and
	Open3D v4.3 & 4D60T.

	I do not know how to modify the parameters(ex, in /etc/sysconfigtab) 
	related Open3D and PowerStome to run correctly, if the resource of
	systems are small.
	Please give me any suggestion or help. 

	Recntly, OpenGL version of MENTAT-II was released on our platform.
	I think the MENTAT-II was reated on DigitalUNIX v3.*, so Open3D
	v3.* seemed to be used.
