    re: -1

    Now there's a switch ...
    Alpha NT support only ...
Is there such a thing as a (i)FX!32 binary (un)translator.

If there was a TREMENDOUS oppportunity, like support of MS NetMeeting,
not only on Alpha, but our Intel Personal Workstations (PW200i), how
long would it take to re-write the driver code and and re-compile the
FVB, LPS and MC software ?

This is a REAL question for a number of REAL opportunities.

REAL business cases for REAL opportunities should go to
the REAL product manager, Jeanine Crockford, at
WRKSYS::CROCKFORD. Most, if not all, of the investigation
has been done, so it shouldn't take long to turn around
an answer.

Of course, she'll probably also want to know why
it would be better to pay the NRE to get Intel drivers
for the $500 AV301 done instead of using something like
the $199 Winnov Videum AV, particularly for a low end
conferencing application like NetMeeting.

Might as well copy me on the justification too, so she
doesn't have to forward it to me.
