I recently picked up a used Mesa Boogie 400+ bass head and found
that it had the wrong tubes it. The last guy that owned it put
Sovtek 6L6GC's, 12 of them, instead of 5881's, which is what it's
supposed to used.
Luckily Mesa has a tube replacement kit for the 400+ for about $190.
This past saturday I took all 12 of the Sovtek tubes to a local
electronics store and checked them out on their tube tester and
they all tested good.
If any one out there is interested in these tubes, I'll let them
go for $50.00 for all 12. They sell for $12.00 new here in Colorado
Springs.
