Just heard that Kevin Gilbert died - cause of death has not been
released.

Gilbert also has a tune on the upcoming Gentle Giant Tribute CD which
is mainly cover tunes done by fans from the mailing list (myself
included). His tune was an original, tho, a vocal fugue in the style
of Gentle Giant called "Suit Canon - Fugue of the A&R Staff". Very
funny and well executed. It is about this "Johnny Virgil" character
mentioned in the previous note.

I spoke to Dan Schwartz yesterday, after seeing this note about Kevin's
death. He seemed pretty upset about it, obviously, but I guess they
hadn't been in close contact for awhile.
Btw, the Tuesday Night Music Club album project had already fallen
apart, even before this; too bad.
