3053.0. "Advice on Midi Guitar config ?" by ASABET::bflat10.mlo.dec.com::SalesRepresentative () Mon Mar 13 1995 13:01

Anyone have any good pointers on what can be used with
the following configuration...

Roland D110 sound module
Casio MG510 midi guitar

I'm looking for a few things...

1. the ability to control patches from hopefully a foot switch

2. the ability to use a sustain pedal...

This stuff is about 5 years old now, and while clearly,
state of the art, left this thing in the dust 4 years
ago, I'm assuming there is something I can pickup to improve
the playabiltiy of this.... so,,, any helpful advice ???

Step right up, young fella, you've come to the right place! Have I got a deal
for you...

Seriously, this sounds like a perfect application for the foot pedal controller
I'm selling, a Roland FC-100 Mk II with an RMS-1 MIDI adapter. This is a
rock-solid (all-steel construction) footswitch unit with a bank switch, 8 patch
switches, a "control" switch (normally set to sustain) and inputs for two
expression pedals, which can be used to send MIDI continuous controller
messages. Sounds like *exactly* what you're looking for, if I read your note
correctly.

I purchased it for use with synths, but I find that I just don't use it; just
not a stomp box kinda guy, I guess. I'm selling *both* the footswitch and the
MIDI adapter for $125, shipping extra. If you're interested, send Email.

(I really don't mean to appear opportunistic, but it really *does* look like
this meets the needs of the basenoter!)
