I just wanted to let anyone know who doesn't already that this is going
to be my last week at Digital. I'm leaving to take a position with the
Open Environment Corporation in Cambridge. This will be quite a chagne
for me after working for Digital for more than 12 years.
I've been an active participant in this conference for many years,
almost since it was started. It's one of my more pleasurable "hobbies"
to keep up with GUITAR. I've certainly learned a tremendous amount from
the wealth of knowledge that gets shared in here. It's a very unusual
opportunity that I've rarely had before in music, and probably won't
have again. But more importantly, I've gotten to meet a lot of you, and
share music with some really great musicians. I'll miss that more than
anything.
I'm glad to see that there's going to be another DECjam. I would have
participated except for lack of time right now. These are great ways
for people to meet and do something different than what they might
usually be into.
I wish you all the best of luck, and bright musical futures. I really
hope I'll run into as many of you as possible again as we travel our
various paths.
