2694.0. "Wolf Marshall" by NEWOA::DALLISON (Six string madman for hire) Fri Mar 19 1993 04:08

I was watching the GTFM's Billy Sheehan video last night and Wolf
Marshall was on it and that guy looks seriously SICK. He's really
    scrawny and thin.

I was wondering if the guy has done any recording other than the
    instructional stuff.

I haven't seen any Wolf Marshall recordings. How about some of these
other guys like Beaver Felton and Richard Daniels?

What I *really* wanna hear is this rock opera that Mike Varney and
Marty Balin (of Jefferson Airplane) collaborated on in the early
eighties and recorded for EMI. This was just before Varney cranked up
    his Schrapnel label.

Just before the "Spotlight" column started in GP, there was an
interview with Mike, including a picture of him mangling an SG. In
there he mentioned the project with Balin.

Fat Albert... Or was it really Minnesota Fats??

Did Black Sabbath's bass player have "modified" finger tips, also?

Varney also did a cut on his second American Metal compilation,
curiously titled "American Metal II". Don't ask me what he sounds
like though, I haven't heard either of these.

there was an interview with Varney in a UK publication called Guitarist
magazine and mentioned his track record to date. The rock opera thing he
did was with the guy from Jefferson starship,Leonard Haze(ex Y&T)and
Phil thingy(ex Y&T)which basically died.It was quitean interesting
    read!
