2691.0. "B.B. King lessons video?" by THEBAY::CHABANED (SBS is a crime against mankind) Fri Mar 12 1993 17:07

Shocked not to find a B.B. King topic!

Anyway, Saw the old man on Public TV the other night. Yep, he's no
Segovia, Clapton, whatever but I like him.

I rememver seeing him on something like "Good Morning America" hawking
a Video tape of guitar lessons. He taught a riff or two to Charlie
Gibson and I had my strat out and played along. I liked his approach
    to teaching.

Anyone know where I can get this tape?

    Thanks!

I have an Elderly catalog of instruction materials that lists not one
but *three* BB King video tutorials. They're $42.50 each, or $110 for
the set. They've got lots of other neat stuff on video too: Jorma
Kaukonen (remember Hot Tuna?), John Hammond, Lonnie Mack...

Try calling them at (517) 372-7890 ext 123.

Funny that I get this topic after EC :-) B.B. and EC have gotten
together a few times over the last couple of years.

Two of my most prized possessions are tapes of B.B. King and Friends
(included EC, late Albert King, late SRV), plus late Paul Butterfied,
Dr. John, Etta and a few others who slip my mind at the moment.

Last year when B.B. was inducted into the Apollo Hall of Fame he
invited a few of his favorite guitar players to join him on stage.
He and EC did one number together, then he invited Dave Beck, late
Albert Collins and Buddy Guy to join them for the finale (thank God
I had a stereo tape to pop into the VCR)!!
