2420.0. "Guitar rental in Colorado Springs" by KAOFS::P_DESOUZA () Fri Jan 03 1992 17:37

    Hello,

I will be in CXO(Colorado Springs) next week and would like to rent a
guitar from a store. Which store does rentals and is close to CXO
facility. Usually I put the entire price on my VISA and they just charge
the rental when I return it. This has worked in New Jersey and Boston.
Also please direct me to stores where prices are reasonable. I have
only been to Pro Sound and wasn't terribly impressed.

    Regards,

I highly recommend Rice Music, on 8th Street in the Springs for good
prices and friendly sales people. Walter, the manager, always seems to
do me (and all my friends that have shopped there) right. Tell him I
    sent you, he'll like that.

I don't remember the exact address of the store, but I can give you
directions on how to get there. It's very easy to find. Takes about
15 minutes to get there from CXO.

They also do rentals, but I don't have any idea what will be available.

    Thanks Greg,

I phoned Rice's and they were out of rental guitars. Joel McKenzie in
CX suggested I try ProSound(as a last resort, of course).

They rented me a Peavey T60 - quite beat up for $14.00 a week. 10%
of its retail value. Beggars can't be choosers.

    Definately the correct caveat...

I can't really say more due to there being a corporate policy
forbidding making negative comments about businesses.

Glad to hear that they were able to fix you up though!
