If you could narrow it down to a musical style then it
    	might be a little easier ... rock/pop/metal/blues.

On a more serious note.

A few notable mentions that I own..

	Larry Cartlon "On Solid Ground"
Jeff Beck ;;; pick one,,, "Blow by Blow" and "Wired" are
two personal favs. "Guitar shop",,, ehhhh,
I could take it or leave it actually.

For the classical trend,,

	there's, Mcglaughlin-Paco-Demiola - "Grace Wind and Fire"

A little 'out there' at times, but pretty nice.

If ya like piano stuff, George Winston has some pretty nice work out.
Puts people to sleep at times, but it's great when your in the mood...
December and Autum namely.. (i know- i know, this is a guitar conference..)

PS:

I don't have any Eric Johnson but some I've heard sound pretty interesting

How about the Ordinaires, a group comprised of two violinists, a
cellist, two saxophonists, bass, drums, and guitar/trumpet? They do a
monster version of Led Zep's 'Kashmir'.

I thought I should clarify my recommendation on Jeff Scheetz. He just
released his debut "Woodpecker Stomp" on the Pure Metal label. Most of
you will probably never hear him unless you go down to your local
Christian bookstore and buy/order this tape.

If you like Vai's "Passion & Warfare", you'll LOVE this tape! Some of
his work also resembles the neo-classical work of Vinnie Moore. This
    kid is a monster!!!

Unfortunately, like Phil Keaggy, you'll never hear him unless you go
out of your way to pick up a tape.

BTW - Yamaha Guitars endorses him and I've seen an ad with him in
GFTPM. He also uses the ADA MP-1. He also writes a guitar advice
column in "Heaven's Metal" magazine and is currently working on an
    instructional video.
