I'm a Bass Player from Madison Wisconsin. I spend some time in ACI,
I'm good for a few simple tunes. Also try Steve Johnson (guitar), Dan
Miller (keyboards), or Hank Phelps (Guitar).

BTW I have "Dec Lyrics" to about 50 old rock standards which the NCD
FUBAR Band has been playing at Sales Kick Off Meetings etc. The NCD
FUBAR Band is Ken Steinhardt, Minneapolis (Keyboards, vocals and
Musical Director), Dave Metz, Minneapolis (Guitar), John Crouch, Des
Moines (drums) and Myself on Bass. We practice twice and play. BTW
The word "Tight" will never be used to describe the band, but we have a
    great time.

1311.3The BACK ROOM to see some serious jammin'UWRITE::DUBEDan Dube 264-0506Tue May 30 1989 17:0414
This is kind of off the subject but still related to the title of the
note...

I was in Chicago on a business trip a couple weeks ago. While I was
there, I of course went to check out the notorious blues/jazz clubs. I
found this place called the "Back Room" and saw the *best* musicians I
had ever seen in my life. They were called CITY LIGHTS, and they were
just what you'd picture an old-time blues band to look like: an older
black man singing lead, a blind keyboardist playing a B3 with two
Leslies, a sax player and drummer. All of them were incredible.

I *used* to call myself a musician.

I hate/love when I am humbled by these veterans. Last year my band
played a benefit type gig here in South Carolina, and also on the
bill was a old time country band.

Now, I don't really care for country much, but this gent of about
70 years walked/limped up on stage and literally burnt the frets
off of this old fender strat he was playing. Really popped my bubble.
I wondered what he might've done with a Charvel and a Marshall ??

Next time you're in town try 'Chicago Blue'. Went there Sat. nite
and got my doors blown off. Same as .-2 A 70 year old white guy
    wailin' on the sax... Incredible!
