| Astudent just got in a custom ESP guitar he ordered. Its basically
a stock model with some changes he had done to it (like an Ibanez
Edge instead of the floyd, and no finish on the back of the neck).
Its an awesome guitar...plays and sounds great! Big bucks though.

| Nothing wrong with those guitars from my experiences.

| The horizon basses have a great feel and balance to them also,
sleek design, low end that will loosen fillings, boost the high
and you'ld be mistaken for Chris Squire. A fine instrument.
smokin' bass,

| Yeah, I would say they are....Personally, Idon't like painted necks,
but I would pay $1300.00 for an ESP *way* quicker than I would dish
that out for a Jackson or a BC Rich.
Food for thought.

| JAMES HETFIELD OF METALLICA SWITCHED AXES FROM A GIBSON EXPLORER WITH
EMG 81 PICKUPS TO AN ESP EXPLORER COPY WITH THE SAME PICKUPS IN A
HEARTBEAT NO TURNING BACK.FOOD FOR THOUGHT.

| -1 Funny what the thought of free guitars will do to someone...esp
when they are EXACT copies of his Gibson's.

| I think NOT on the exact copy comment. The shape of the guitar is NOT
what makes the guitar.I seriously doubt that Hetfield and Hammet would
play those guitars, free or not,if they were'nt worth a crap sound
wise,feel wise,neck wise,sustain wise.Maybe you are right about the
free guitars but I'd like to think that maybe the ESP Explorer has an
edge over Gibson especially when it comes to two radical players like
James Hetfield and Kirk Hammet of Metallica.Who knows for sure.

I do I have an excellant ESP M1 custom, now that I've solved the floyd rose
tuning problem it's far superior to any gibson I ever touched (or owned)

I recently got a Musicians friend catalogue in the mail with a number
of ESP's for sale and i have to say that they were nearly all gorgeous!
(except the Kerry King V)The one that caught my eye the most was a
Les Paul copy with EMG's(81's I think) and a Floyd Rose whammy. It was
an oustanding looking guitar! 8)

| Don't know if you'd consider Woburn to be "central Ma", but
Perfomance Music has a stunning ESP in a way cool deep purple
color (sounds weird, but you should see it - tasty, not tacky).
They also carry G&L, Heritage (the ex-Gibson folks), Fernandez, and
Levinson (Blade)
