1203.0. "Who's Chris Farlowe?" by FDCV06::ARVIDSON (Kmart sucks. - Rainman) Tue Mar 14 1989 19:51

	Who's Chris Farlowe? I've heard he does stuff with Jimmy
	Page. I'm just trying to find out more about this mystery
	guy, to me at least.

	If the mystery guy has nothing to do with guitars when he's
	no longer a mystery, just zap this note and give me the
	answer to 'What's my line?'

	Thanks,
	Dan

    Chris Farlowe was big in the UK in the sixties. More a respected
    rock singer than a pop singer. His big hit here was Out of Time,
    a Stones cover. I seem to recall some rumour that he actually sang
    with the Stones or was asked to join them sometime.

    Oh yes, he wasn't any sort of renowned guitarist to my knowledge.
    Vocals were/are his strength (saw him on TV recently).

    Farlowe also did time as shouter with the late unlamented Atomic
    Rooster.

    He also was with the 'late, lamented etc.' group Coliseum around
    1970 or 1971. If you can, get ahold of the 'Coliseum Live' recording,
    which pretty much shows what he could do live.
