648.0. "Truss Rod Wrench?" by CRONIC::PCUMMINGS () Wed May 25 1988 00:39

    Does anybody know where I can find the traditional 5/16" truss rod
    wrench... ya' know the right angle job that's used with most guitars?

    A friend and myself were wondering where we might be able to buy
    one....

    thanx,
    paul

    I ordered one for my Rick 4001 directly from Rick's HQ in California.
    I think they had both kinds the right angle and straight lucite
    handled one. I got the straight Lucite one for $14.00.

    If it's a standard Allen wrench, go down to your local True Value
    Hardware store. They usually have all sizes.

        Some of 'em are just an ordinary hex nut.
648.4where's HQ ?CRONIC::PCUMMINGSWed May 25 1988 15:178
    Ya... I'm talking about the standard Hex for a Gibson... A nut driver
    will do, but the traditional right angle job is better.

    Where is Rick's HQ? have the address?

    Check with McDuffs music in Shrewsbury.

    I sam a new product in GP "Its' New" column. It is the "Swiss
    Army Knife" for guitar, has everthing from screw driver, to nut
    wrench, to string cutter on it (about 10 differant tools) for
    around $10-$20.

    Or try a music store... I know of several who just throw the things
    out if nobody wants them, or have drawers brimming with odds & ends,
    waiting for someone to walk up & ask for a particular item.
    That's usually free.
