I went to my first bluegrass concert yesterday (may 1) at Indian Ranch
in Webster Ma. It was great. Hot Rize and Traver Hollow kept everbody
glued to their chairs despite the cold weather we had. The muscisians
realy showed their stuff by picking to perfection, their hands had
to be cold but they did it anyway. Hot Rize did a comical skit,
when they came out dress in old country and western clothing and
performed as Red Knuckles And The Trailbalzers. They played their
electric instruments to some tunes I hadn't heard in a long time,
such as Apache (remember the Ventures). Anyway it was great !
I got some info. for anyone interested in seeing live bluegrass
    music, it goes as folows:

I saw Hot Rize the night before at the Opera House in Barre, Vt.
They truly put on a great show! I love Red Knuckles and the
Trailblazers. I got to meet a couple members of the band afterwards.
	Great bunch of folks.

Hot Rize and the Trailblazers will be performing at the Winterhawk
festival this July. I highly recommend this festival. I've gone
the last two years and have had my tickets for this years for over
	a month already.

Here is the current line up for the festival:

Seldom Scene Bill Monroe Dry Branch Fire Squad

Hot Rize Country Gentlemen	Tony Triska and Skyline

Tony Rice Unit Nashville Bluegrass	Walt Michael and Co.

John Hartford Peter Rowan Good Ol' Persons

"Apache" was done by a Scandinavian guy - can't think of his name.
The Ventures probably covered it, but he had the original hit.

Your right, in fact the guitarist in Hot Rize said it was by
a Scandinavian guy but I didn't catch the name. I only remember
    it by the Ventures.
