| IBANEZ? FROM THE EARLY SIXTIES? ARE YOU SURE? BY AN 'ORCHESTRAL
GUITAR', DO YOU MEAN ONE OF THOSE BIG F-HOLE ARCH-TOPS? THEY ARE
VERY EXPENSIVE AS A RULE.

< ps. It's from the 60:s (early).ds.
Wow ! I didn't even think Ibanez was around then !
Post the serial number, and a brief description of what it
looks like. There is a guy I know who collects rare/old
git-fiddles, he might now as he has some old odd ball Ibanez
pieces.
as far as with, if it's that old, and a semi hollow f hole piece,
it would be expensive in the states. Actually it be considered
an antique.

| Ibanez wasn't around in the sixties.
There should be a name on the guitar (I doubt it's Ibanez if it's
that old). If there's no name then it must be generic company too
emabarassed to let you know).

| I am sure it's a Ibanez, because the logo is placed
at the head off the neck. You may heard of a hard rock
group called EUROPE, the lead guitar player has
confirmed that it is a Ibanez.
How ever , I will look for the serialnumber and
try to describe it more in detail.

87.6 | more confusions... | BPOV10::LEAHY | | Fri Jun 05 1987 14:50 | 14 |
| I have a similar question... I recently had some guitars stolen
(got them all back) but when I tried to get prices, this guitar
was no where to be found...
It's an Ibanez 12-string Artist Dreadnaught Acoustic, I don't think
there is a serial # (I'll check).
I bought it in 1982 in Spain for $200 American, figuring it would
go for about 5 or 6 here in the states. But no one (not even the
IBANEZ information man) could find any information related to this
particular model. Anybody have any clews?

| I was perusing a copy of the 1994 Ibanez catalog and was mostly
disappointed with their offernigs. Most appealing to me were their
jazz boxes. All their electrics look the same, and feature mostly the
same electronics. Gone are the _nice_ wood grained USA CUSTOM series
guitars from the 92 catalog ... sad, they were very very nice axes.

| Over the years Ibanez has made everything from cheap (but often
pretty good) copies of other companies' instruments to high quality
pro instruments of their own design. So the range of potential
values is pretty huge.
