113.0. "MailTalk and MS Exchange don't mix" by CIM2NI::VANDERAA (Jim VanDerAa HLO2-1-/A8 225-5947) Wed Mar 12 1997 19:26

    I made a big mistake today or at least that
    the way it feels. I'm running NT351 and
    MS Exchange. I loaded DECtalk 4.2a and everything
    was fine for a few weeks until today when I
    clicked on the MailTalk installation program.
    now I get a MS Exchange error when I try to
    start MS Exchange.

    The error is EXCHNG32.exe
    Exception:access violation (Oxc00000005), Address: 0x6c5bb5fa

    It then asks me for a startup profile and gives me a
    little window the has TTSsrv.

    I've been going through help to find out how to UNDO what
    I did but DECtalk is of little help. Does anyone know how
    I cna fix this??

    Thanks,
    Jim VanDerAa.

113.1Removed the problem with MailTalkCIM2NI::VANDERAAJim VanDerAa HLO2-1-/A8 225-5947Wed Mar 19 1997 17:0214
    Thanks to those for following up. I couldn't get it to work at all
    and had trouble removing the link until I read the rather
    long readme.txt. In it was a warning about the possibility
    of DECtalk/MailTalk causing Exchange not to work and how
    to remove it. The directions worked great and I was up and running
    MS Exchange again.

    Someone involved with MailTalk should look at problem, but for now
    I'm not playing anymore with MailTalk (I still enjoy working/playing
    with DECtalk)

    Regards,
    Jim V.
