1516.0. "ODBC for Digital UNIX?" by VELENO::MICHIELI (Is IBM DEClining?) Wed Feb 19 1997 15:03

    Hi all,
may be this is not the right conference, so please feel free to give me
    the right directions.

The customer is porting WNT application to Digital UNIX V4.x. He is
using the ODBC for Oracle under NT and is asking for the ODBC for
    Oracle under UNIX.

    Anybody knows?

He told me about third parties like Intersolve (?) or Visigenic (?),
but it seems that these companies (may be mispelled, sorry) heve only
ODBC for HP, SUN, IBM and others but not for DIGITAL.

    Best regards,
     Gabriele - FAE TOEM, Roma-Italy. dtn 870-2203.

ODBC drivers for Oracle can be downloaded from www.oracle.com
The drivers for Win95/WNT are same. You will need to install the
SQL*Net client and then install the ODBC drivers to successfully talk
to the Oracle database on Unix.

I think Intersolv just came out with an ODBC driver for Alpha NT.

Digital UNIX is not so lucky, I have not found a vendor with this
offering for DUNIX.
