Other details about this rather strange problem.
1 / In Exclusive mode, everything works fine.
2 / Starting both instances in parallel mode takes less than one minute
on each system.
3 / We put the system under load with an SQL*Plus program.
4 / When I say the system hangs, it's not really true. I apologize for this
lack of precision. The SQL*Plus program hangs. But the system works fine.
You can start other SQL sessions, compile programs, etc...
5 / Oracle people were there on Friday, and they suspect some deadlock in the
Oracle Engine. ( They established that by querying the v$session_wait
table ).
I'm in vacation tomorrow evening. As soon as the problem will be fixed, I'll
give you the reason.
