476.0. "How to use Eforms in the Repository" by TAV02::HANOCH (Who ? Me Worried ?) Mon Jan 27 1997 12:38

Dear All,

We are working with TFM repository. Among the application objects, there are
Electronic Forms. I read the manuals but still have some questions:

1. How can we enter E-forms into the repository? Import? What file type is
   expected?

2. Can we enter an E-form as part of an update case? Will it be removed to the
RunDB when the Update Case is closed?

Hanoh,

All non TFM standard objects can be imported to Repository,
they will be out in the DevDB as object of text_file type.

In your case you should import EForms to the 'eforms' directory
in the respective CompLib. The Eform will be put in the DevDB as
a text_file.

The answer on your second question is YES. However, one could ask
for the purpose of this operation. The Eforms (in the HP format)
could be compared to a '.exe' file. It is not meaningful to update
them unless you want to control the version using the version control
mechanism.
