| SkyPix and SkyLine BBS and SkyTerm are all from Michael Cox (El
Paso, TX, USA). They are copyright by Michael Cox and SkyLine is
available as a BBS through your local dealer. There are several
SkyLine BBSs around the world (some in UK for sure, don't know about
Sweeden). There are several others. One of them is in California
(the one I use) and it is at (619) 788-0449. Anyone can use just
about any term prog to get on the board. Once there (it is set
up as a "star ship") go to the "engineering deck" and then to the
library. There you can change your data base area to number 11
(Nets&Comms) and find SkyPix, and SkyTerm (if you don't have JRComm
[1.0 or better]). You will need LHARC to decrompress and if you
don't have LHARC (or current LZ) you can find LHARC.ZOO in the same
place (of course you'll need ZOO to decompress LHARC.ZOO). Several
folks worked on SkyLine and SkyPix including some moral and otherwise
support from Jay (the father) Miner.

| Skypix is an Amiga specific protocol which allows real time animation
during a session with a skyline BBS system. The animation can be as
high as 16 colors, and it is possible to send iff sound files which can
be played in conjunction with the animation on the users screen. Font
changes are also possible, making for a variety of different effects
with words.
Jay Miner, actually had nothing to do with the development of Skyline,
or the protocol, about all he did was to run a copy of Skyline on his
personal BBS.
I used to run Skyline as a beta tester, I really liked the software.
It has alot of powerful features. The greatest drawback to the
software was the cps rate at high speeds, ie 9600 and above. Skyline,
the last time that I looked a few months ago needed some severe
protocol overhaul.
