3871.0. "A500 68030, and Bridgeboard." by SHARE::DOYLE () Fri Jun 22 1990 15:14

While looking through the latest issue of Info, I came across an
interesting add in the back of the Magazine.

The Mega Midget Racer 68030 Accelerator....
                Starts at only $795

	. 68030 accelerator 20, 25, 33 MHZ same board
	. Co-Processor socket clocked for 20-50MHZ 68881/882 math chip
. 68000 is resocketed on board for complete compatability
*1	. allows 256k or 512k O.S. to be run in fast 32-bit static ram
*2	. Optional Dram Expansion allows 1-8MB of additional 32-bit ram.
. Only 68030 accelerator that fits the A500/A1000/A2000
. CSA Engineering provides same board unlimited upgrade-ability.
. Wait state selectable faster ram gives faster throughput
. Unique surface mount design saves space and enhances reliability
. Lowest price 68030 accelerator for any Amiga.

 		Question Time

*1 Is this just saying it can run on stock amigas and 1000s?
*2 Sounds like a tight squeeze for the A500.

By the way, the 33MHZ model is in the $1800 price range.

P.S. In the Amazing Computing issue is an announcement of an A500
bridgeboard from Pulsar, that fits in the 512k Expansion Slot of the
    A500. ($550) for XT compatability.
