    Hi guys!
    
    Sorry if everything I'm going to ask is redundent.  I know how upset
    people get when you reiterate, but frankly I've been gone for a while
    (last note I saw was 2200) and I have very little time to search for 
    what I need.  (Therefore, I hope everyone else who's been here for a 
    while can point me to it).
    
    I need some advice on a new system.  I'd like a 68030, but there are
    a couple of ways to do that.  I could get a stock 2500/030 and add a 
    hard drive and extra memory (25 MHz I think).  Or I could get a stock 
    2000 and add a GVP 68030 board with the 68882 (vs. the 68881) at 28Mhz
    with 4M 32bit RAM and then add a hard drive.  Which is better,
    performance wise?  How about price wise?  (I've checked out Abel for
    the add-ons, but it seems from note 2252.12 that they don't carry
    2x00's).  
    
    This is the system I have in mind:  I want a fast Amiga with a
    bridgeboard and hard drive, with AmigaDOS and PC DOS partitions.  On
    the Amiga side, I want to do minor to amateur video applications, and
    some WP/graphics stuff (you know, stock Amiga uses!).  On the IBM side,
    I want networking (through IBM TCP/IP products; Novell for one) and
    general productivity (WP, Lotus, etc.).

    I just received the GVP 3001.  I only ordered the 030, 882 and 40
    meg hard disk but got the 4 megs of memory for free.  I don't know
    if it was shipped in error but it cost me $1795 for the above product.
    I haven't done much with it yet but the performance figures in Amiga
    World look pretty good.  The documentation that comes with the board
    is a little skimpy but installation only took about 45 minutes to
    mount the drive, board and load the software.

    Another one.  I wanted to ask exactly what it is I need (Genlock,
    digitizer, etc.) to do what I want to do.
    
    I want to capture pictures in HiRes or HAM (or both, would DigiView
    Dynamic HAM work with the rest) then touch them up, and save them as
    IFF brushes or pictures.  I would also like to get an animation program
    so that I could add graphics in real time to a regular video signal
    (that's genlock, right?).  All this doesn't have to be incredible
    quality, because it's just for amateur work.  For instance, if my
    friends and I make a little camcorder film about wizards and such, I'd
    like to be able to draw IFF lightning bolts or whatever and then
    incorporate the animation into the film.  (You get the picture).  
    
    What exactly do I need, and are there favortites among brands?
