| Hi Larry, welcome to AMIGA (notes)!
> 1) What is VLT & how does it work.
VLT is a terminal emulator and it works the same as do any others of its
kindred, modem serial communications. Its big feature is nice transfer
capabilities (like XMODEM, ZMODEM, and KERMIT)
For more information, Do a DIR/TITLE=VLT LAST-1 and read up on it (features,
problems, location of archive).
> 2) How do you download files from this conference?
The files are spread throught the net, a couple of places:
TAPE::USER2:[AMIGA...]*.*
Tape has a collection of all Fred Fish public domain
disks..over 300 disks of good stuff cheap! (free..)
NORSE::AMIGA:[000000...]*.*
Norse has various subdirectorys with various things
organized into MUSIC, PICTURES, GAMES, et al.
WJG::AMIGA:*.*
WJG has lots of stuff too!
For information on how too download..do a DIR/TITLE=DOWN LAST-1 and pick a
topic..this has been covered to some depth (like 20,000 leagues or so :-))..
