| I'm also poor. I will eventually patch some more memory into my lowly
A500 to increase it from it's present 1 meg. I'd like to boost it to
3 meg to make my TurboSilver experimenting a little easier... I hate it
when I run out of space on a complex object. I am tempted to plug it
in as a tediously hand-wired manual configure. I would like to know
exactly how the auto-config works, so that, maybe, I could do it as
an auto-configure.
If some plans exist for several meg's of external memory, I would also
like to know about it, instead of re-inventing the wheel twice. I know
that somewhere in the public domain, or elsewhere, someone must have
already done this.
Is anyone knowledgeable about this (<CB>?)???

| Well, there is a memory expansion project on Fish disk #27, schematic
and description, I believe. This one was to plug into the A1000's
expansion port, but would probably adapt for the 500 fairly well.
(Mostly mechanical differences)

I don't remember if the Fish 27 project was autoconfig, but I suppose
not. You should make it autoconfig, unless you're 100% sure that
you'll never have another autoconfig device in the system...
Documentation about building Amiga hardware can be obtained from
CBM.
