3261.0. "ProPage output" by SALEM::LEIMBERGER () Wed Dec 27 1989 06:38

    I have a problem with ProPage,and need some help.My problem is I
do not understand what happens when a printer prints both sides
of a pagefor example if I wanted to publish a document that had
printing on both sides how do I save it.I know their are odd,and
even pages but I cannot seem to grasp the concept of printing a
double sided document.Do I save all the evens, then all the odds
in a seperate file ? What is the Printing House expecting ?
What is the best way to set up a file for double sided printing
    on an Ln03r ?

I don't think you have any problem. If you are generating a six page
document, Professional Page outputs six sheets (six pages,
single-sided). Assuming you have margins of equal width on the left and
right side of each page, there is no problem. The Printing Shop is
expecting you to give them six sheets of paper, single-sided.

Oh, and an LN03R is not a duplex printer, so dunno why you would want to
do that. Just send it through a xerox machine if you need a double-sided
copy for your own use.

Or you get hold of a PrintServer 20, which is capable of double
    sided printing...

    Bill,

I don't know how to do what you want with Pro Page (wish I had it),
but perhaps a clarification might help get an answer.

Is what you want to know: How to get to get Pro Page to group all
"Side 1's" and print them, and then, after you take the output,
put it back in the input tray, and then print all the "Side 2's"?

RE .3 This was also a thought I had for small jobs.I wanted to find
out what the print houses expected, thanks Paul, and the mechanics
for double sided printing on the Ln03r.I think you have the idea.If
I could print all side ones, then flip the paper, and run side two
it may work.I have my drive now so I'll try some samples.
