I have just received my first copy of the Minix Centre support material
It is in two parts a A4 size folder with information on the Minix
Center activity ,there is a statement giving Andy Tanenbaum's
"offical" blessing for the Minix Centre. I see it is their intention
to cover PC and ST minix for Europe as well as the UK. The USENET
listings/comments are in a second A4 size book 137 pages describing
lots of bugs and fixes to these bugs. A minix readable disc is supplied
with lots of fixes which I have not looked at yet.
The service seems quite good compared to other suppliers I have
met in the Home comp market. I wish I had more time to study it
all. I am on holiday soon so perhaps then I will get more done.

Much of the Minix Centre time is spent on sorting out licensing
from PH for other versions. They are trying to get an AMIGA version
licensed at the moment but won't start testing till it is licensed
I understand there is no hard disk support for it though!. This
would seem to cause considerable problems as the floppy driver is
unstable as well. The footnote says that if enough people are
interested then they may start work on sorting out problems quicker
