3135.0. "Amiga from Germany" by EEMELI::LINDEN () Tue Nov 21 1989 15:46

    I need help to find good/cheap Amiga dealers in couple of places in
    Germany. So if anybody living in Germany could be kind enough to
    tell where in Munich, Hamburg and Frankfurt is Amiga dealers.
    I would like to have addresses and phone/telex numbers if possible!

    The system that I'm looking from Germany is something like this

    B2000 with 1MB Chip
    2nd 3.5" drive
    2 to 8 MBytes memory card with 2MBytes installed
    40MBytes SCSI HD + Controller

    So if someone could give an estimate how much it could cost in Germany.
    I would preciate it very much!!!!

    Thanks for advance!!!

3135.1Hang in there...FROCKY::BALZERChristian Balzer DTN:785-1029Thu Nov 23 1989 07:2112
    Unfortunately I don't have an Amiga mag with me right now, so if
    you could hang in there until Monday (won't be in the office tomorrow).
    In the meantime, could you define your priorities concerning good
    vs. cheap. I'll be able to name you quite bunch of cheap dealers,
    but only a handfull of good ones.
    You also should try to make your mind up what kinda expansion hardware
    (manufacturer wise) you prefer. I personally would wait for the
    A2091 for a SCSI controller...

    'Till Monday,

    HMMM,
    an A2000B is available in each shopping mall or bigger supermarket
    for ~ 1.800,- to 1.900,- DM.
    a second drive (NEC 1036a) costs ~ 200,- DM
    the 2090a with a 20MB costs ~ 900,-

    just to give you a short impression

3135.4Many many thanks!!!!EEMELI::LINDENMon Nov 27 1989 13:2714
    Thanks !!!

    The prices of the A2000 doesn't have changed much from summer.
    CB if you're going to look some prices, could look how much does a
    40-60Mb HD with SCSI controller costs.

    regards,

    Kari

    PS: I have to say that the prices in German are real bargain when
    compared against the prices in Finland. (A2000 costing about 4000
    DMk!!!)

3135.5There ya go...FROCKY::BALZERChristian Balzer DTN:785-1029Thu Nov 30 1989 14:5619
    Finally I have the mag AND some spare time. ;-)

    The prices from Ralf are quite accurate.
    A 40MB SCSI drive with either GVP or Cltd Kronos controller will
    be around 1800,- DM. The 2091 with 40MB SCSI (Quantum 40S) is announced
    at 2200,- DM. If you have time to shop around, you might get better
    bargains.
    The 2058 with 2MB RAM comes from 1000-1300 DM, so you should be
    able to get it for less than 1000 DM. There should be an A2000HD
    with an 2091-40 out there soon, so this packet deal shouldn't be
    to bad.
    Like Ralf said, the best bargains for the base machine can be made
    at Electronics supermarkets.
    If you want, I can send you the latest issue of the German Amiga
    magazine plus the CBM dealers list.

    Regards,
