2973.0. "Power Pins on RGB Port" by RIPPLE::LUKE_TE () Sun Oct 01 1989 06:45

I recently purchased a Supergen Genlock. However, on my A1000 there
doesn't seem to be enough power to run my Starboard II 2MB, Live Digitizer
and the genlock. I have an old ColecoVision power supply with with
12 V, + and -5 volts.  I thought I might create a cable for the RGB
port in which I intercept the pins with the power, and apply the power
from the Coleco power supply to run the genlock. I have two questions.

1. Does that sound like it will work?
2. Does anyone know the correct pin assignments on the 23 pins. I read
    note #907.6, but it didn't list any power pins. The Supergen manual
    lists pin 21 as -5v, 22 as +12v and 23 as +5v. However, it lists no
    pin for the ground. The only voltmeter I have only registers milivolts,
    so I can't be sure what I am seeing on the pins. At any rate, I seem
    to be getting a positive voltage on pin 21 and no voltage on pin 23
    (maybe that's my problem). Does anyone know which pins supply the
    power and which is the ground?

Any help would be appreciated.

    Look at 2956.3 for the pinout, what you want to do should work,
    be sure to hook up the ground lines to both the power supply and
    the Amiga.
