2600.0. "AiRT Icon Programing, what is it?" by SHARE::DOYLE () Thu May 25 1989 17:15

    Is anyone familiar with the "AiRT Icon Programing" software?
    Does this allow you to program using Icons?
    If so does it output its code in BASIC, PSEUDO-Code, or what?
    If output is in basic, can it be compiled?
    If compilable, any specific compiler?
    Does it support all the same amiga features as Amigabasic?
    					Thanx;

	I seem to remember from an old issue of AmigaWhirl that the
	AiRT thing is essentially just an interpreted, icon-based
	language; it doesn't output any code at all. From the way
	it was described, you could use icons (flow-chart elements,
	really) to put a program together; and then, their interpreter
	would run it for you. They said it seemed to be designed
	mostly for accounting-related tasks, and that it was
	ABYSMALLY slooooooooowwwwww.
