2290.0. "Conman's CND: and ARP mount." by HPSTEK::MYEE (Care about Ecology? Call 800-225-5333) Tue Feb 28 1989 15:36

    I finally got Conman's CND: CLI handler to WORK!!! The CND: handler
    does non-interrupting typeahead (ala Vax/Vms). I tried takeing
    everything out of my startup-sequence and issuing the following
    commands:

    mount CND: ; CND: is defined in Devs/MountList
    newcli CND:0/0/200/60/conman

    this would create a CLI window, but the CLI window does not accept
    input.

    The ANSWER was that I was using Arp 1.1 MOUNT command, which does
    not seem to be compatable with Conman's CND:. I quickly copied
    the MOUNT command from my original workbench, and am now the happy
    owner of a non-blocking typeahead CLI window!!!! Has anyone else
    had problems with ARP?

2290.1Is an ARP1.3 coming?CIMNET::KYZIVATPaul KyzivatThu Mar 02 1989 20:538
    I have a different question about ARP: is there a 1.3 compatible
    version coming? It is frustrating to have to choose between the WB1.3
    extensions and the ARP extensions. I am running a selected mix of the
    two, and in some cases have both versions around for use in different
    situations. I wish C/A had picked up ARP in 1.3, and lacking that, I
    hope there is an ARP1.3 forthcoming.

2290.2Microsmiths has itDECWET::TBAKERTom Baker - DECwest CSSEThu Mar 02 1989 23:5810
    In the March Transactor, there is an ad by Microsmiths that says they
    are shipping ARP 1.3 with TxEd Plus. Their ads in the latest Amiga
    World and Amazing Computing don't say 1.3. I haven't seen anything on
    Usenet about ARP 1.3 shipping yet.

    But Microsmiths is Charlie Heath's company and he is the primary
    force behind ARP so maybe it is almost ready.
