2067.0. "New Files on TAPE::" by TAPE::WHERRY (Celebrate Gotham's Tricentennial) Mon Jan 02 1989 21:59

	Tons of stuff snagged from USENET today. All of the zoo files are in:

TAPE::USER1:[AMIGA.ZOO...]

all of the other files are in:

TAPE::USER1:[AMIGA.USENET...]

NOTE:	All binary and zoo files are 512 byte fixed length records.

	I also added a file *.txt in each directory which contains the usenet
header and a brief description if one was availible in the header. Also,
all of the SHAR and UUE files are also in the directories if you prefer those.

    If anyone gets the Moebius demo working please let me know how you
    did it. I spent many hours grabbing this thing from usenet and
    downloading it, only to find out that I can't make it run.

2067.2Good luck with Moebius!RLAV::WEGERBruce WegerMon Jan 02 1989 23:108
    Moebius... I heard (on usenet) that it's ;

    o From Italy in PAL and wont run at all in the US.

    o That even if it *did* run it needs 2.5M MINIMUM !!!!

    Guess I'll never get to see it :-(

2067.3we tried...and failed...for now...TAPE::WHERRYCelebrate Gotham's TricentennialTue Jan 03 1989 03:3012

    Steve Peters and I spent about 30 minutes trying to get it to work.
    Moebius takes 1.5 meg to run, RGB takes 2.5 (I didn't even try and
    put together RGB its in 30 pieces.)

    Steve has some programs that may be able to convert it, but he thinks
    we were running out of memory on his 2000. (we only had 2 meg, and
    it probably takes twice as much to do the conversion.) oh well,
    I may give up on it soon.

    Memory isn't a problem for me as I have a 3 meg 2000. If you have
    anything that would help me to get it going please let me know because
    I've heard this is an excellent animation.

    One of the entries in the first (actually "Zeroth") BADGE Killer
    Demo Contest was called RGB and is on one of the Fred Fish disks.
    The new RGB is something else. Confusing, no?
