2053.0. "Help on getting a PC-Board made..." by HPSTEK::SENNA () Wed Dec 28 1988 16:58

    Has anyone ever tried getting a pc board laid out and manufactured
    for thier own personal use (NOT DEC). I'd like to find somewhere
    I can get this done for a pc board I'm going to do. Not ready made
    boards!!!

    Thanks Tom

    Tom,

    Try ACTIVE Electronics in Westboro. (508) 366-8899 or
    1-800-ACTIVE-6.

    There are also ACTIVE stores in Woburn, Long Island, Mt Laurel NJ, Seattle,
    Detroit and Santa Clara.

    They used to have a custom board service, something like $35 if
    you have your own artwork. Prices will vary quite a bit depending
    on single/multiple layers, whether you provide the artwork or not,
    type of board (glass, pheno, etc), gold plated contacts, whatever...

    ACTIVE is also a good source for wire, connectors, IC's, and PCB
    supplies if you want to etch your own.

    If anyone else knows of any good board shops, I too would be interested
    along with the prices they charge and turn-around time.
