1848.0. "Superbase Professional" by ITGATE::GATTI () Thu Nov 03 1988 06:13

    I think that Superbase Professional is a very good product.

    I' ve got the 2.01 version. In the "Disk addendum" of the manual
    is clearly indicated that it is possible with the FORMS EDITOR to
    create a Calculation variable ( like TOTAL% ) and set it READ ONLY.

    But ..... is there anybody able to do it ???

    Ciao.

    Since you have Superbase Professional, I have a question for you.
    Is the program dongle-protected?

	Older versions were; the most current, most perfect version (I'm
	not sure whether it's been released yet, but they have announced
	it) will NOT be dongled. (YEA!!!!)

    I confirm that 2.01 version is STILL( ? ) dongled.

1848.4SuperPlan?FSDEV1::JBERNARDWed Nov 09 1988 16:176
    I called about SuperPlan, by the makers of Superbase. This is a
    project management software package that looks to be quite professional
    if one is to believe the ads. Due for release RSN, even though
    they have been advertising it for months. I hadn't even thought
    about it using a dongle. If it does, what a shame...

1848.5Down with Dongles !!!!TEACH::ARTThink the UNTHINKABLEWed Nov 09 1988 17:288
	In a phone call with the folks at Precision Software (the
	domestic owners of the SuperStuff), they assured me that
	it was their intention to do away with dongle protection
	on their products; apparently they've been taking a lot of
	heat about those stupid dongles.
