1663.0. "floppies at 12.49 a box" by WJG::GUINEAU () Tue Sep 06 1988 14:07

A new store called B.J.'s Wholesale opened in Westboro, Ma on Rt 9 near
Duddie Ford.

They have BASF and MEMOREX 3.5" DS/DD floppies at 12.49/box of ten (~$1.25 ea.)
Lots of boxes.

You must be a member to get in, but being a DEC employee makes it simple (just
fill out a 1 page form, show them your DEC badge and your in.)

This place has mucho stuff at (for the most part) great prices. It's a
warehouse type store so most stuff comes in industrial sizes (floppies are
single boxes).

    I can second the negative vote for BASF. I bought 30 of their 3.5"
    DS disks when I first got my Amiga. Maybe 2/3 of them would format
    correctly. I really thought my drives were bad but when I got some
    bulk Sony DS disks they worked flawlessly. Never again will I buy
    a BASF magnetic media product after this.
