1608.0. "Amiga fan from P.R. goes to Mass." by PUERTO::ALVAREZ (Miguel, from sunny Puerto Rico) Thu Aug 18 1988 19:23

I'll be traveling to Mass. next week and thought about using
this opportunity to get some things for my Amiga.

Specifically I'll be looking for the following books:

Compute!'s Amiga Machine Language Programming Guide.

	Fundamentals of Interactive Computer Graphics
	by Foley & Van Dam
	Published by Addison Wesley

	Microcomputer Displays, Graphics and Animation
	by Bruce A. Atrwick

If you know of a place (in the area of Merrimack, NH, Maynard and
Littleton, Mass) which has any of the above books, please let me
know. It will save me a lot of time.

Another thing. If you are in MKO or MLO and have any of the Fish
disks below, I would like to trade you a blank Sony DS/DD 3.5" disk for
a copy of a Fish Disk.

    Fish Disks I would like:
    130,131,133,134,136,137,138.

Tell me your DTN and will get in touch with you.

    Thanks.

    Miguel A. Alvarez

1608.1Try B. Dalton for booksBOMBE::MOOREWhere do you go when you're Toad Away?Thu Aug 18 1988 23:075
    B. Dalton bookstores generally have one of the better selections
of computer books in the area. I'm pretty sure I've seen most (if
not all) of those titles at their store in Framingham, others are
probably similar. They have several stores around, I think one
    is in Nashua, right guys?
1608.2N.E. Book FairULTRA::KINDELBill Kindel @ BXB1Fri Aug 19 1988 13:224
The New England Mobile Book Fair (Newton Highlands, MA) sells
everything at 20% off list price and has a reasonable collection of
Commodore/Amiga books (and everything else 8^). They do have the
    COMPUTE! books, among others.

    Re .2,.3:

The N.E. Mobile Book Fair is essentially a warehouse full of books
(GREAT browsing! 8^) at 82 Needham Street, Newton Highlands. Their
"catalog", so to speak, is _Books in Print_.

From anywhere, go to Rte 128 (I95) Exit 19A, which is Highland Avenue
(eastbound) in Needham. About a half mile east, you'll cross over the
Charles River, where the road becomes Needham Street in Newton.

Continue east another half mile or so, past the Marshall's shopping mall
and McDonald's restaurant (both are on the left). The Book Fair is on
the right side, opposite a Mobil gas station. Watch for its white sign
(black letters) and turn into the driveway to park.

    Enjoy!
