1592.0. "Deluxe PhotoLab" by HYSTER::DEARBORN (Trouvez Mieux) Fri Aug 12 1988 14:14

Does anyone know anything about this? It looks like a cross between
    Pixmate and Deluxe Paint.

    Any information appreciated.

Deluxe PhotoLab is made up of three programs. Poster, Color, &
Paint. It also comes with 1.3 Preferences and Printer drivers
(the beta version, however it does work on 1.2 fairly well.) Also
it is NOT copy protected (nor are any of the other DELUXE products.
Contact EA for update info if you have copy protected versions of
    any DELUXE product.)

PhotoLab requires lots of memory (basicaly a meg..less if you are
    doing simple stuff.)

    1) Poster - Allows you to print any size picture up to 'poster'
size. It prints the output in strips, and if you copy
done the sizing numbers, you could print out each strip
during a seperate session and still have them match
    		up.

    2) Color -	Allows you to modify pictures between the various formats,
including extra half brite (EHB) and HAM, also allows
    		pallette modifications.

    3) Paint -	There are some tradeoffs between DPAINT II and PhotoLab
Paint. The is some features that Paint does not have,
but Paint does support HAM and EHB. It will also cross
load brushes from the different formats, also the icons
for the brushes look kinda like the brush. I am not
totally familiar with DPAINT II, so I can't say much more,
however I do have PhotoLab, so I can answer some questions
given enuf time to look it up in the manual.

----- Robert (My AMIGA needs more memory...screen and fast both
1 meg total just ain't enuf.)

There's a review in the August Amiga Sentry magazine. I haven't
read it so I won't comment.
