1556.0. "Postscript problems" by SHIRE::GANGUILLET () Fri Jul 22 1988 10:52

I've succesfully transfered one Professional Page postscript file
to my account, and now I'm trying to print it on an LPS40.
The file is contains one 1 picture and 2 lines of text,
It prints the text correctly, but the picture
    don't come out at all.
    There are several message error:

    OFFENDING COMMAND: waittimeout

    OPERAND STACK:

    -savelevel-

    EXECUTION STACK:

    GRAPHICS STATE:
       Current Matrix: etc, etc...

Those anybody know what to change in the file to print the picture?

    Thanks in advance
    E.G.

Ah, yes ... well, locate the first occurrence of the waittimeout
and add a backslash to it. You find that there are one or two other
occurreneces in the immediate vicinity that already have the backslash.
Then exit the postscript file and send it off. You get another error
message, but it will print this time. By the way, the error does
not appear if you send the file to an LN03R.

One other thing, the LPS40 does not support the Narrow postscript
    fonts that come with PPage.

    Thanks !
It works very well, with the /waittimeout

By the way, What the difference between the LPS40's
postscript and the PPage's postscript ?

Dunno ... I've been meaning to call them about their use of
waittimeout. Also, its interesting to note that you need not put
in the slash when printing to an LN03R.
