1501.0. "A.T.M transactions" by WOODRO::LEIMBERGER () Sat Jun 25 1988 11:05

I have just purchased Money Mentor,an am in the process of setting
up my DataDisk.I worked through the tutorial with no problem, and
this left me with a good feel for the machanics of using the software.
However It left me vague on how to deal with A.T.M. transactions, and
the various service charges related to them. The obvious solution
would be to transfer the money from my checking account to my cash
account."Money Menter allows you to transfer funds by simply putting
an account name in the Name field, and choosing Transfer when the
budget request appears."I tried to do this but got an error message
stating that the "budget" did not exsist. Also how would I handle
the split required to put a given amount to The DCU and deposit
the remainder into my regular bank.I am currently doing this by
makeing two seperate deposits.Any other "HINTS" peolpe have found
would be appreciated.I like the program, and feel it will meet all
my requirements once I get under way.Just attempting to set up my
data base was very ...should I say enlightning.Until now I've
always had a "shoot from the hip"budget.

I've never used this software. I have been using Bankn' (sp?). A shareware
package. I too am baffled about dealing with ATM transactions and monthly
charges and all. I have been trying to add them on the fly...
