1365.0. "New Sound Player" by LEDS::ACCIARDI () Fri Apr 22 1988 04:49

    I found a really nice IFF sound player. This one will run from
    WorkBench or CLI, and seems to handle all IFF sound types.

    From WorkBench, you can edit the 'Tool Types' INFO requestor box
    to specify the playback rate, number of plays, and mono or stereo
    output. There is a digfitized sneeze included in the archive.

    This player is much nicer than PLAY8SVX.

    Look in LEDS3::USER6:[ACCCIARDI.AMIGA]SOUND.ARC

    Enjoy.  Ed.

    Hey! This is great! John finally found that 'c' that I misplaced
    in note #697!

    Thanks John! :^)

    PS: See if you can find an 'r' that I lost a while back. I've
         looked everywhere, but can't find it.

    Will this sound player play all the "." (ie. no extension) files
    located in TAPE::USER1:[AMIGA.DMCS] that are spec'd for the PLAY
    sound player? Unrelated: Is the file PACK-IT.ARC the archiver
    that generated the .PAK files (such as PLAY.PAK in the previous
    directory)?

Does this sound player exist somewhere now. I uploaded
tape::user1:[amiga.arc]sounds.arc but this has only sounds
and no player.

How to I unarc .pak file in this directory

*.PAK files have the decompression code already in them. Just run the .PAK
file from the CLI and it will unPAK itself.
