--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Monday, A500 +512K/clock arrived, from some Ney Work mail order house.
    brand new, $708 + $50 handling.
    Workbench wouldn't, read-write error, read-write error, finally
it booted, so I ran out & got a few diskettes and bakced it up.
The back up works, & I sent the master workbench to commodore +$10
to replace, per a coupon in the box.
Running into a VCR from monochrome composite onto a 5" color set.
Just barely making me blind, but I've got around amigabasic a little,
entering a program of mine that draws pictures.
Practiced making amigabasic play sounds. I may use this for a while
to play music before getting a music package, because there is so
much confusion about the different music packages.
I don't want to buy a package, get disatisfied, buy another package,
get discourage, buy another music package..... that's a trap.
I need rudimentary word processing, a modem, modem s/w.
May buy a modulator for the TV until I pick a monitor.
I can't beleive that the KV1311 @ $500 is worth it (with tuner)
in a wide-open monitor market from $250 up (without tuners), and
the same specs as the Sony at at least $400.
    . So I'll wait a little while while I
learn about monitors. Also, Lechmere said they had no cable for
the Amiga, how did you hook up your monitor?
The connectors I saw on the side of the 1311 was a DIP maybe 50-pin
    Berg type for analogue RGB.
