1325.0. "16 Amigas all tied together, Can You help?" by 57880::SCOTT_MORRIS () Tue Apr 12 1988 15:11

I was talking to a guy named Tom Bruzo who apparently a Value added
    resaler of Amigas.

Anyway he was discirbing a client of his that is a Doctors group
that is in the process of hooking up Amigas to CATscans, Bone Scans,
heart scans and the like to digitize and Catalogue the pictures
and distribute them to a network of 16 doctors offices. The objective
being to eliminate the need for the doctors to travel from whereever
they are to where the scanning is being done.

I was amazed and pleased to here that Amigas are being used in such
numbers for serious (like life saving work).

He was looking for some programming help in hooking together this
network and doing some of the graphic stuff. I didn't understand
half of what he was telling me but I told him I would see if there
was anyone around that might help.

If anyone is interested in furthering the cause on Amiga's in the
business world as well as doing what sounds like an interting project
his numbers are 331-9479 home and 331-8259 office.

Call him directly. I will be leaving this node at the end of the
    week.

The EasyNet is a world-wide network. You should give some indication
of where this project is being done. At least give area codes for
    the telephone numbers.

DEC employees should be careful not to work for this guy in a way
that would cause difficulties with their relationship to DEC.
