1303.1FRAME GRABBERWINNER::JBERNARDJohn Bernard YWO/292-2591Tue Apr 05 1988 16:425
    Frame Grabber from Progressive Peripherals & Software. You should
    be able to find an ad or phone number in AmigaWorld or AC.

1303.2How does Frame Grabber CompareESPN::SWARTZWed Apr 06 1988 13:1810
    I happy to see this note as I too am in the market for a digitizer
    to read off a video camera. I have seen the notes on Digi-View
    and Perfect Vision...how does Frame Grabber compare to those. I
    have also heard of a camera that takes pictures on a 3.5 inch disk.
    Anyone else have any information about this camera ? Is it a future?
    What type of interface is needed to read disk on Amiga ?

    Thanks

1303.3LIVE! (?)WINNER::JBERNARDJohn Bernard YWO/292-2591Wed Apr 06 1988 13:338
    I was looking through the magazines last night, and there is also
    a real time digitizer called LIVE! . From the sketchy advertisement,
    it looks like it is also designed to grab a picture from a tv,
    vcr, video camera, etc... Price was around $285 as I remember.
     I haven't seen any reviews on either LIVE! or FrameGrabber...

1303.4Needing Help on DigitizersESPN::SWARTZWed Apr 06 1988 15:0812
    I forgot to add to this note -2 that I have a 2000. I have talked
    with A-Squared on LIVE ! and have found that it won't be available
    for the 2000 until the June/July time frame at best. They are planning
    to start shipping a 500 version in about a month.

    Again, any help you folks out there can provide would be appreciated.
    I am hoping to place an order for something be the end of the week.

    Thanks,

    Steve

1303.5still pictures on a disk - now!?STAR::ROBINSONWed Apr 06 1988 16:5514

     I don't know if you are in the Boston area or not, but if you are it
     seems you can go see one (buy one?) at the Lechmere stores in
     Cambridge or Danvers, Mass this weekend. Lechmere is having a big
     camera promo with representives from the major manufacturers at those
     stores. Today's Boston Globe had an ad with a picture (ugly) and a
     brief description (of which I remember even briefer)... Still picture
     video camera to show pictures on your TV. Stores 100? pictures on a
     disk. You can save or shoot over different pictures on the disc.

     So if you can't get it today, it sounds like you can get it soon.
