726.0. "Free Stuff (sort of)" by LEDS::ACCIARDI () Mon Sep 21 1987 12:32

    My CTS 1200 baud modem died over the weekend (about 15 minutes after
    the 2-year warranty expired) and as a result I've bought a new Amiga
    1680 modem. Got it for $135 at the Software Shop.

    Packaged within the modem box was an offer for $25 worth of free
    connect time (5 hours @1200 baud) to Plink for new subscribers.

    Since I already subscribe, I can't use it. But I'd be willing to
    mail the offer to anyone who asks. If anyone is interested, I'll
    mail it to the first person who replies to this note.

    Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with American PeopleLink whatsoever
    other than I give them an incredible amount of money every month.

    Plug: The PLINK Amiga club now has over 3000 members and 60 megs of
    online PD, shareware, and miscellaneous noise. The Amiga forum is the
    largest of any of the Plink clubs, and will soon be allocated a larger
    message base and more disk storage. The sysops also regularly ARC the
    Usenet comp.sys.Amiga postings. In addition to all the above neat
    stuff, the following developers are regular attendees/users...

    Electronic Arts
    Byte-by-Byte
    New Horizons Software
    Aegis Development
    WordPerfect Corporation
    The Gemstone Group
    Commodore-Amiga present & ex-Amiga gurus (Dave Haynie, RJ Mical, Rob Peck)

    OK Scott, it's in the mail...

    I threw away my Compuserve deal, since I couldn't in good faith
    encourage anyone to spend $12.95/hr to obtain what can be had for
    $4.95/hr.

726.3free time is FREE time!MPGS::BAEDERMon Sep 21 1987 20:415
    your right (it's gone by the way)..but it includes a few free hours,
    and it's how I got started, so... (I mean hey free time is like
    free software...can anyone get enough of it ;-)
