617.0. "ACO" by LEDS::ACCIARDI () Mon Jul 27 1987 13:21

I got to use a new Plink exclusive last night. It is a program
callled 'ACO' or Amiga COnference, and it was put together by the
    sysops of Plink's AmigaZone.

In a nutshell, it is a conferencing program based on Dan James'
excellent Comm134 terminal program. in fact, ACO is merely another
    feature/addition to Comm.

You load and run Comm as before. However, there is a new menu item
called 'enter ACO mode'. When this item is selected, the screen
changes into a 16-color rendition of a conference room, complete
with 10 'chairs' along the top of the screen, and 10 at the bottom.
The center of the screen is a split window where you enter your
comments and follow the conference threads.

The real fun comes in when people upload their 'faces' to the Plink
library. You get to creat five custom faces (using DPaintI/II or
a supplied face editor). At any time, you can present whichever
'face' you choose to the other conference attendees. I never laughed
so hard in my life as when I saw some of the faces presented by
other conference attendees. Of course, a face doesn't have to be
a real race; it can be a beer can, toilet, or whatever.

If anyone thinks that this sort of thing is foolish, immature,
sophmoric, and a complete waste of time, you're absolutely right.
It is also a real blast.

If even one person is interested in this, I'll upload a complete
package, including the Face Editor, ACO, and all docs.

Hokay, ACO.ARC is now in JAKE::USER2:[ACCIARDI.AMIGA]

Have a ball. The file was UL'ed with XMODEM and is 1057 AMY blocks,
    or 265 VMS blocks.
