480.0. "Amiga on TV" by LEDS::ACCIARDI () Wed Apr 29 1987 00:57

An Amiga was used on the TV show 'SledgeHammer' tonight. (I am
kinda embarassed to admit that I was watching). A woman was using
DPaint to create a composite sketch of a villain.

What is interesting is that SledgeHammer is an ABC production.
NBC has used Amigas extensively on Saturday Nite Live, Our House,
Amazing Stories, and Miami Vice. Now ABC is using them.

Also, the new Tom Petty video features scenes from the Juggler
ray-traced animation. The video features an Amiga being destroyed
in a very artistic manner. (It gets hosed down with yellow paint)

The other day, I happened to be glancing at the TV when I heard
the word AMIGA mentioned - which obviously caught my attention.
The program was a game show called LINGO, which is a cross between
Bingo and Mastermind (sort of), filmed in British Columbia, and
hosted by none other than Mike Reagan - Ronnie's son.

Anyway, the clip I caught was Mike explaining that the words used
in the game where not selected by the producers, but where in fact
randomly generated using their AMIGA computer. During the credits
at the end of the show was a credit to Commodore Business Machines
       for supplying the AMIGA computer.

Wonder if there are AMIGA's in the White House?

Actually, the White House is running a lot of All-in-1 on
a bunch of VAXen... No Joke.

A couple of weeks ago I was watching the Digital sponsered "Infinite
Voyage" show. It was about human brain research.

I guy who was doing research on split brain patients was being
interviewed in his lab. In the background, with the power off,
was an Amiga 1000 with an external floppy! I screamed- look! look!
    No one else got excited.
