450.0. "Download Directories" by AUTHOR::MACDONALD (WA1OMM Listening 224.28) Fri Apr 10 1987 19:48

Latest directory listing from   AUTHOR::USER:[MACDONALD.PUBLIC.AMIGA]

A2000.ARC       A HI-RES B&W picture of the Amiga 2000 created with
		DigiView. (from the March issue of Byte)

ARC23.ARC The latest version of ARC.

BROWSER.ARC A very nice directory and file reader utility.

CALENDAR.ARC    A neat Calendar utility.

CANON.ARC New Canon PJ-1080A printer driver along with info on how
                to obtain a new character rom for $6.00 that gives you
                true descenders and even heighted lowercase.

CHFONT.ARC A font changer that can be run from your startup-sequence
 		file. Usage is CHFONT newfont_name.FONT

CLUE.ARC The fabulous who-dunnit game with exceptional graphics.

DISPLAY.ARC Allows you to display any IFF standard graphics on
  		screen, including HI-RES B&W and HAM.

DUIV.ARC        Slick multifunction directory utility.

LOGO.ARC An implementation of LOGO for the Amiga.

MCAD.ARC Superb shareware CAD drawing package. A must have!

MELT.ARC Nice graphics demo. Watch your Amiga screen melt away!

MISSILE.ARC Fair to midland nuclear anihilation game for the Amiga.

MORE.ARC Handy utility for display text files in your current
		CLI window, or from an icon. Let's you know how much
                of the file you've read!

REVERSI.ARC What would life be without a talking game of REVERSI.

RSLCLK.ARC My favorite menu bar clock program that allows you
  		to display time, date, free chip and fast ram, free
		disk space and much more. I would recommend resetting
  		the task priority to 0 after running the program. It
		defaults to 20 which can interfere with other programs,
		most notably AmigaBASIC (for some reason).

SHELL_205M.ARC Drew's Amiga shell program. Gives you the feel of VMS.
                Be sure to download SHELL.DOC and README.205M.

STARCH.ARC A nice star chart and constellation identifier containing
                a large database of star information. A "must have"
                educational program.

TILT.ARC Every Amiga needs this one!

UEDIT.ARC A rather sophisticated text processor with more
         	commands than Wordstar! Even utilizes the Amiga's
  		voice synthesizer to tell you verbally when errors
		have been made. The CHEAT-SHEET file is a quick
		reference to all the commands and features.

VC.ARC A reasonable implementation of a spreadsheet that works!

VT102.ARC Another pretty good VT emulator that features 132 and 80
                columns, smooth and jump scroll, and double height and
                double wide characters.

ZOING.ARC Everyone's favorite. This one uses bouncing heads though!

450.1HELP ME!VICKI::CAMPANELLAMichael Campanella, DTN 261-2595Tue Apr 14 1987 05:4911

    I would like to copy these files on to my amiga, but I've never
    used Kermit and/or arcxx.bin before.

    Can you give me instructions for transferring files to my Amiga?
    I have a copy of kermit_32 in my account, and I copied arc16.bin
    into my account too. I'm using a vt100 v2.3 emulator to log in.
    Someone care to help a beginner?

    I've been trying to copy files to my Amiga thru KERMIT in the VT100
    program. I log in thru Tymnet and TSN, and the KERMIT notes file
    people think I should try setting the parity to even on each kermit
    program, but I don't know how to set the parity on the Amiga.

    Has anyone had success transferring files over Tymnet to the Amiga?

    HELP!!!

450.5We Got Viewers..LEDS::ACCIARDISat Apr 25 1987 02:1113
    In response to someone's request, (sorry, I forgot who) I have uploaded
    a bunch of viewer utilities, including Dave Wecker's 'DISPLAY' (for
    ray-traced images from DBW_Render) and ViewILBM and SeeALL. The
    latter two will allow viewing of any IFF files, including HAM images.

    Also included in the archive is a nifty utility that allows you
    to read any ASCII file by clicking on a WorkBench icon.

    Yours for the asking at...

    I have included a neat new version called 'UtiliDir'. This one
    is fully Intuition-ized, with pull-down menus etc.

    There is also a new version of the popular DUX.
