221.0. "Software Sales Flash" by CYGNUS::DEBRUYN (Tony - my AMIGA DOS it all for me) Wed Dec 17 1986 17:38

o The Bit Bucket has a recently opened store at 621 Boston Post
Road (rte 20) and is stocking up on AMIGA software. My daily calling
around to all AMIGA dealers just turned up newly arrived copies
of the Enhancer (V1.2). I ran down just after lunch and finally
got my copy. As of 2:00 today they still had 8 to 10 copies remaining.
They also had a couple of copies of Deluxe Paint II and Flight
Simulator II. Marked prices are pretty much standard list, but
then they gave me a 10% discount at the register. The salesman
was courteous and reasonably knowledgeable considering that they
deal in four different brands of PCs in a branch office.

o Instant Software on route 2A in Acton (next to Circle Furniture
and the Joyce Chen grocery store) recently put almost all their
software on sale for half price. That includes Amiga, ST, Apple
and IBM. They say they are just cleaning out inventory, not dropping
any lines of PCs. The prices are great! I have been reading all
the ads for mail order software, but their prices are far better.
There is not much choice, some games, some business software. For
instance, MAXIplan is about $70 instead of $140 list or about $110
mail order. Deluxe Paint (not II) is about $60 and they have Paint
and Print Art Disks for $15.

o Memory Location says that they expect a new batch of the Enhancer
packages (V1.2) to arrive about noon on Friday.

    re: to 221.0, item 1

Thanks for info! Bought the Enhancer and was surprised when goodies
not documented in a V1.2 book showed up. Without having freeware
or FISH disks - I appreciated the MicroEMACS and PC (1020 drive)
utility for copying MSDOS files. The freebees of a font editor
and a demo of the elipse drawing with a new Extras/BASIC disk was
    also included.
